As I mention in the video, I say entrepreneurship is a sickness tongue-in-cheek, but for many entrepreneurs, once you find your way, the ideas keep coming and the entrepreneurial spirit inside won’t allow them to pass without at least exploring them a little–it’s not something we can control, like catching a cold.

For me, the ideas for new ways to communicate with clients or prospective clients (the ideas don’t always have to be new businesses) really started to come to me in the last year. In the early days, coming up with ideas for blog posts and videos were a struggle, but now I have a notebook full of ideas.

And it’s not just ideas of topics to discuss, there are also businesses and relationship models that now seem so obvious–and naturally, I have to explore them. That’s how this blog came to be, but that’s a topic for another post.

Life (and business) would probably be a little easier without these new ideas presenting themselves, but at the same time, spending my free time exploring them is fun–I enjoy determining if new ideas have a future, or if they will end up in my wife’s notebook of my crazy ideas.

Chances are, if you’re reading this blog, you know exactly what I’m talking about. We don’t set out to find new ideas–they just find us, and we can’t not explore them. It’s a part of our DNA.
